IN RACHEL SUTCLIFFE’S LOVING MEMORY
JANUARY 25TH, 2019
When i've launched the topic of the journal, i felt like it was amazing, for all
to have, me included, an opportunity to write on “space and time”.
From Einstein’s relativity, to the increasing knowledge of space and time
already known, there’s a fourth dimension called space-time, or tetra-space.
If these two dimensions are one, then we are jumped into a Dao vision, in
which dedicating time to somebody or something, we are also making room
for that, and, on the other side, making space, to let something become
everlasting.
I think a poet like Rachel Sutcliffe will always deserve us to give her space,
as if her time on earth were never ending... letting her ku tenderly surround
us poem by poem...
I didn't have the pleasure of knowing Rachel too long, but I did have a great
respect for her active interest in even the new haiku enthusiast's efforts. She
was kind right down to her criticisms. And when her one of her poems would
hit, it hit with authority ! She was a boat to whatever shore was needed, may
we see her on our way...
I’d like to say what a special spirit she had. Her writing was elegant and
simple. She was a woman who suffered in life though in her poetry, she
learned to soar. She’s made an impact on this community of ours, that we
will not soon forget. I miss her and her beautiful words. May she Rest In
Peace as her body of work has left a legacy of incredible poetry.
