DMF chips in staatto
Microreologie van passieve en actieve systemen.
K.U.Leuven
Abstract: The present project proposes to exploit new powerful microscopy tools to investigate the individual and collective motions of bacteria and
colloidal particles. More specifically, a methodology will be developed to analyze the motion of particles and bacteria in complex environments. This
requires the development of both mathematical tools to link the motions of particles and bacteria to the properties of the materials or environments,
and adequate image processing routinges capable of tracking objects in 3D. The goal of the project is to obtain an understanding of the swarming in
bacteria and the role of cel-density sensing in the process one the one hand, and to study the behavior of colloidal particles at interfaces, in-situ in
complex multiphase fluids on the other hand.
