O Grêmio Recreativo Escola de Samba Beija-Flor
de Nilópolis é a prova de que uma escola de samba
pode fazer mais do que música pela comunidade.
Seus projetos sociais auxiliam na formação de
crianças e jovens, na busca de um futuro melhor e
ajudam-nos a acreditar no potencial que existe em
cada um deles. Concebidos e estruturados por Anizio
Abrão David, presidente de honra da Beija-Flor,
eles encontram no patrono a força necessária para
servirem de exemplo para todo o Brasil.
CRECHE JÚLIA ABRÃO DAVID
Inaugurada em 09 de maio de 1980, a Creche Júlia
Abrão David completa mais um ano de ótimos
resultados. O projeto educacional que começou
com 60 crianças hoje possui cerca de 280 alunos
matriculados. A escola foi planejada para ter toda
a infraestrutura necessária visando oferecer o melhor
aos pequenos e contribuir com eles no seu desenvolvimento
para que se tornem cidadãos mais
aptos a aproveitar as oportunidades que a sociedade
oferece. Nomeada em homenagem à matriarca
da Família Abrão David – D. Júlia, mãe dos irmãos
Nelson, Anizio e Farid –, a creche encontra em Anizio
um porto seguro para sua existência.
Para participar do projeto educacional da Beija-Flor
de Nilópolis a família das crianças deve comprovar
uma renda de até três salários mínimos e as crianças
devem ter entre seis meses e seis anos de idade.
Para Maria de Lourdes Goulart, diretora geral
desde a inauguração, a proposta da creche é ser
uma extensão do lar dessas famílias: “A partir do
momento que uma mãe entrega essa criança aqui
na creche, ela tem que ter o melhor. Tratamos delas
com muito carinho e amor, e seus pais sabem disso”,
afirma a diretora.
A creche funciona em regime de semi-internato e
os alunos são divididos em três turmas: Berçário
(dos seis meses aos 3 anos), Jardim I (dos três aos
quatro anos) e Jardim II (dos quatro aos seis anos).
Para que todos tenham conforto, as atividades das
crianças são divididas em turnos. Enquanto parte
dos alunos estuda pela manhã, os outros participam
de atividades no pátio. Depois as turmas se invertem.
Na creche, as crianças também encontram
o suporte que necessitam para manterem uma vida
saudável: são quatro refeições diárias, além de assistência
médica e odontológica – essa realizada no
consultório odontológico instalado no local.
A sede da creche conta, ainda, com berçário, salas
de aula, salas de atividades e de vídeo, dormitórios,

Beija-Flor (or Grêmio Recreativo Escola de Samba Beija-Flor
de Nilópolis, as it is officially known) does more than make
music for the community. Its social projects help provide
a better future for children and youths by giving them a
chance to realize their potential. Conceived and structured
by Anízio Abrão David, Beija-Flor’s president of honor, these
projects find in their patron the force necessary to serve as
examples for all of Brazil.
Júlia Abrão David Daycare Center
Opened on May 9, 1980, the Júlia Abrão David Daycare
Center has completed another year of outstanding results. An
educational project that started with 60 children now has
some 280 kids enrolled. The center was planned with the
full infrastructure necessary to help the little ones develop
into useful citizens more able to seize the opportunities that
society offers. Named in honor of the Abrão David family
matriarch – the mother of Nelson, Anízio and Farid – the
center finds safe harbor in the hands of Anízio.
To participate in this educational project of Beija-Flor, the
children must be between six months and six years old and
their families must have an income of no more than three
times the minimum monthly wage. For Maria de Lourdes
Goulart, general director since the start, the idea is to make
the center an extension of home for these families: “From the
moment mothers deliver their children here, the little ones
receive the best we can give. We treat them with tenderness
and love, and their parents know this,” she says.
The center functions all day and the children are divided into
three groups: “Nursery” (from six months to three years old),
Kindergarten I (three and four years old) and Kindergarten II
(from four to six years old). The kids’ activities are divided
into two schedules. While part of them study in the morning,
others participate in activities in the play yard. Afterward the
activities invert. Besides learning and play, the kids find the
support they need for healthy lives: there are three meals and a
snack every day and medical and dental assistance, the latter
provided in a dental office on site.
