Produtor cultural, membro da ABD-GO (Associação Brasileira de Documentaristas
e Curtas Metragistas – Sessão de Goiás) e presidente da Acine-GO (Associação de
Cinema Independente de Goiás). Trabalha com festivais de cinema em Goiânia
desde o ano de 2001, tendo atuado no Goiânia Mostra Curtas, festival nacional
de curtas-metragens, sendo responsável pela captação de filmes. Em 2005, junto
à Secretaria Municipal de Cultura, iniciou o Festcine Goiânia – festival de cinema
brasileiro em longa-metragem –, respondendo por sua programação (de 2005 a
2010) e pela captação dos filmes.
Itamar foi programador de mostras de cinema do Centro Municipal de Cultura
Goiânia Ouro, no período de 2006 a 2009, e curador da mostra de cinema do
Festival Internacional de Teatro Goiânia Em Cena, de 2007 a 2010. Foi, também, o
produtor responsável pela ABD Cine Goiás, mostra competitiva de filmes da ABD-
GO no FICA, em 2008, 2009 e 2011. E, ainda, o produtor local do Festival do Júri
Popular, de 2009 a 2012, tendo feito parte do júri de vários festivais de cinema no
Brasil.
He is a cultural producer, a member of the ABD-GO (Brazilian Association of Documentarists
and Short filmmaking – Section of Goiás) and the president of Ancine-GO (Independent
Cinema Association of Goiás). He has been working in movie festivals since 2001,
taking part in the Goiânia Mostra Curtas, a national festival of short filmmaking, being
responsible for the selection of the movies. In 2005, along with the Culture City Office,
he created the Festcine Goiânia – a Brazilian cinema festival of long-filmmaking –, being
responsible for its programming (from 2005 to 2010) and for the selection of the movies.
Itamar was the programmer of movies shows at the Goiânia Ouro Cultural Cine Center
from 2006 to 2009 and curator of the movies show at the Goiânia em Cena International
Festival of Theatre, from 2007 to 2010. He was also the producer in charge of the CBD
Cine Goiás, movies competitive show of ABD-GO at FICA in 2008, 2009 and 2011. He was
also the local producer of the local Popular Jury Festival from 2009 to 2012, taking part of
several other juries in movies festivals throughout Brazil.
