Carlos Alberto Matos<br />
É crítico e pesquisador de cinema desde 1978, tendo passado pela Tribuna da<br />
Imprensa, IstoÉ, O Pasquim, Jornal do Brasil, O Estado de S. Paulo, O Globo e pelo<br />
site . Foi um dos fundadores da revista Cinemais e coordenador de<br />
cinema e vídeo do CCBB-Rio, entre 1989 e 1997. Criou e manteve, de 2006 a 2008,<br />
o DocBlog, primeiro espaço regular e especializado em documentários da Internet<br />
brasileira, no portal O Globo. Membro e ex-presidente da Associação de Críticos<br />
de Cinema do Rio de Janeiro, participou do júri da crítica nos festivais de Veneza,<br />
Berlim, Moscou, Istambul e Amsterdã, dentre outros.<br />
Carlos Alberto é autor de livros sobre os cineastas brasileiros Walter Lima Jr., Eduardo<br />
Coutinho, Carla Camurati, Jorge Bodanzky, Maurice Capovilla e Vladimir Carvalho.<br />
Pesquisou e redigiu os textos de Animation Now (Taschen). Dirigiu para<br />
o Canal Brasil o programa Jurandyr Noronha – Tesouros quase perdidos (2010).<br />
Atualmente, é crítico do website , mantém o blog e edita a revista Filme Cultura.<br />
He has been a movies critic and researcher since 1978, having worked at the Tribuna da<br />
Imprensa, IstoÉ, O Pasquim, Jornal do Brasil, O Estado de S. Paulo, O Globo and for the<br />
site. He was one of the founders of the Cinemais Magazine and the cinem<br />
and video coordinator of the CCBB-Rio between 1989 and 1997. He created and supported<br />
the DocBlog from 2006 to 2008. Hosted by O Globo portal, it was the first regular site<br />
specialized in documentaries in Brazilian internet. He is a member and former president of<br />
the Cinema Critics Association of Rio de Janeiro and took part in the critics jury in festivals<br />
in Veneza, Berlim, Moscou, Istambul and Amsterdã, among others.<br />
Carlos Alberto is the author of books about Brazilian moviemakers Walter Lima Jr., Eduardo<br />
Coutinho, Carla Camurati, Jorge Bodanzky, Maurice Capovilla and Vladimir Carvalho.<br />
He researched and wrote the texts of Animation Now (Taschen) and directed the TV show<br />
Jurandyr Noronha – Tesouros quase perdidos (Jurandyr Noronha – nearly lost treasures)<br />
for Canal Brasil. Currently he is works as a critic for the , maintains<br />
the blog and edits the Filme Cultura magazine.<br />
