ABSTRACT<br />

The application of research called adventure activities in military school of secondary<br />

education: challenges and opportunities, aimed at analyzing the application of<br />

adventure activities while the content of physical education classes implemented in<br />

the classrooms of high school. And specific objectives characterized the information<br />

students have about the adventure activities, to raise students' expectations about<br />

the possibility of application of adventure activities while content of physical<br />

education classes; experience adventure activities in the school environment by<br />

creating opportunities for practice in secondary schools of the State Education<br />

Network. The methodology involved a qualitative approach using the method of<br />

action research with high school students of the Military Academy on July 2. As an<br />

instrument used participant observation, because the researcher played an active<br />

role in the situation investigated, documented through photos, videos, a diary and<br />

reporting practices of the students. The participants were 240 high school students of<br />

the Military School 2 July and 03 teachers. The quantification of the results was<br />

performed based on the incidence of repetition of the main categories of analysis that<br />

supported the study. It was found in this study that the Adventure Activities that have<br />

been proposed have a very large and satisfactory acceptance by the students of that<br />

school. The activities have an innovative character and awakened an interest from<br />

them in adventure activities. It is concluded that the development of new issues in<br />

physical education classes cause an enrichment in learning in general (motor,<br />

cognitive and social), provide new insights to the students.<br />
