Muito além do papel
O segmento de celulose está avançando em tecnologia.
Em breve serão produtos criados a partir dessa
matéria-prima que irão além do papel. Essa visão de
futuro foi abordada pelo expert em celulose, Jorge Luiz
Colodette, durante a entrevista exclusiva. Ele aposta em
uma partícula cristalina da celulose como o produto que
deve revolucionar a cadeia produtiva. A leveza e resistência
do material fazem dele uma ótima alternativa para
a indústria automobilística e para a construção civil. Mas
enquanto isso não acontece vamos às novidades que já
são realidade.
Nesta edição fomos buscar as últimas tendências para
o papel tissue. A maior feira do mundo, a Tissue World,
chegou ao Brasil. A Revista Celulose & Papel circulou pelos
corredores da exposição e participou de alguns debates
sobre o assunto. Ouvimos especialistas do Brasil e de
outras partes do mundo para apresentar um panorama
do mercado de papel na atual conjuntura econômica.
Independentemente da crise, o que as empresas querem
é economizar. Na matéria principal apresentamos o sistema
IBS, que reduz o consumo de energia das indústrias

Much more than paper
The pulp segment is advancing in technology. Soon,
there will be products created from this raw material, in
addition to paper. This vision of the future was addressed
by pulp expert, Jorge Luiz Colodette, during an exclusive
interview. He bets on a crystalline cellulose particle as the
product that should revolutionize the productive chain. The
lightness and high-strength of the material make it a great
alternative for the automobile and construction industries.
But while this doesn’t happen, let’s look at the news that is
already a reality.
In this issue, we get the latest news on tissue paper. The
largest fair in the world, Tissue World, came to Brazil. Revista
Celulose & Papel circulated in the halls of the exhibition
and attended several talks on the subject. We heard experts
from Brazil and other parts of the world present an overview
of the paper market in the current economic climate.
Regardless of the crisis what companies want, is to save. In
the lead story, we introduce the IBS system, which reduces
energy consumption for companies in the papermaking
