“Um exemplo foi a criação da serra de fita Lion, a serra de
perfil estreito Expert, com aços de alta liga diferenciados no
mercado. Foi nesse período que investimos nos primeiros
centros de usinagem e matérias-primas específicas para a
produção das primeiras facas. Todo o crescimento da DRV
nos últimos 3 anos se deve às facas para picadores e peças
para reposição, como um todo: chapas de desgaste, pentes,
contra facas, prensas”, lista Diego Vieira.
Assim, o mercado passou a enxergar a DRV como uma
empresa que entrega soluções sob medida. “Cada aplicação
para biomassa de madeira, por exemplo, tem um desgaste
próprio e a necessidade de um aço específico, o utilizado
na madeira nativa é diferente da madeira plantada. Além da
indústria madeireira, atendemos a indústria de MDF e MDP,
que cresceu muito na última década. Também estamos nos
fortalecendo bastante no setor de celulose, com boa aceitação
e inserção da DRV nesse mercado”, ressalta o diretor.
Desde então, a empresa vem crescendo ano após ano,
batendo metas e objetivos. “Para isso, estamos investindo
em cursos de capacitação continuamente, para a diretoria
e toda a equipe. Agregamos a cada mês novos colaboradores,
em novas funções, com treinamentos constantes sobre
técnicas e produtos, tanto na equipe administrativa, como
comercial e produção, sempre em busca da excelência no
atendimento. A DRV segue em pleno desenvolvimento”,
detalha Liliane Cordeiro.

From a growing demand from the forest product industry
for biomass, with the acquisition of chippers, we began to
import off-the-shelf knife blades, with international quality,
and DRV began to gain recognition throughout the Country,”
recalls Liliane Cordeiro, a Director of DRV Ferramentas.
In 2018, with the increase in the demand of the forest
product market, the Company felt the need to create its
own lines and strengthen the DRV brand with products
produced in Brazil. “An example was creating the Lion
band saw and the Expert narrow profile saw, using differentiated
high alloy steels on the market. During this period,
we invested in the first machining centers and specific raw
materials for producing the first knife blades. The growth
of DRV in the last three years is due to knife blades for
chippers and spare parts, as a whole: wear plates, combs,
counter knife blades, and presses,” lists Director Vieira.
Thus, the market began to see DRV as a company that
delivers tailor-made solutions. “Each application for wood
biomass, for example, has a different wear factor, leading
to the need for a specific type of steel; thus, the one used
for native timber differs from that used for timber from
planted forests. In addition to the sawmill industry, we serve
the MDF and MDP industry, which has grown significantly
in the last decade. We are also strengthening our position
in the Pulp Sector, with good acceptance and insertion of
DRV in this market,” emphasizes Director Vieira.
Since then, the Company has grown yearly, exceeding
goals and objectives. “For this, we continuously invest in
training courses for management and the entire team. We
add new employees monthly in new functions and provide
constant training on techniques and products for the executive,
sales, and production teams, always searching for
service excellence. DRV continues in full development,”
details Director Cordeiro.
