Doç. Dr. Sinan KAZAN Eş-Danışman / Co-Advisor ÖZET Bu çalışmada farklı konsantrasyonlarda Fe3O4 katkılı kitosan polimerlerinin üretimi, yapısal ve manyetik karakterizasyonu üzerine çalışılmıştır. Solution casting metoduyla hem vakum ortamında hem atmosferde 4 ayrı oranda sentezlenen demir oksit (Fe3O4) katkılı nanokompozit polimerlerin yapısal ve manyetik karakterizasyonu yapılmıştır. Yüksek çözünürlüklü transmisyon elektron mikroskobu (HR-TEM) , taramalı elektron mikroskobu (SEM) ve enerji dağılımlı x- ışını spektroskopisiyle (EDX), üretilen ince filmlerin yapısal karakterizasyonu yapılırken titreşimli örnek manyetometresi (VSM) ve ferromanyetik rezonans (FMR) teknikleriyle örneğin manyetik karakterizasyonu yapıldı. Bunlarla birlikte örneklerin mikrodalga absorblama karakteristiği Vektörel Netvork Analizör (VNA) cihazıyla analiz edilmiştir. Yüksek Çözünürlüklü Geçirimli Elektron Mikroskobu (HR- TEM) ölçümlerinde, Fe3O4 nanoparçacıklarının ortalama büyüklüklerinin 40nm civarında olduğu gözlemlenmiştir. FMR sonuçlarına göre ise, atmosferde ve vakum ortamında sentezlenmiş Fe3O4 katkılı kitosan polimerleri, blok sıcaklığının altında ferromanyetik, üstünde ise süperparamanyetik davranış sergilediği gözlemlenmiştir. VNA ölçümlerinde ise süperparamanyetik davranış sergileyen kitosan polimerinin mikrodalga absorblama karakteristiği düşük yansıma göstermektedir. Sonuç olarak, kitosan polimerinin çok iyi manyetik özellikler gösteren kompozit filmler şeklinde üretilebilmesinin mümkün olduğu gösterilmiştir. ABSTRACT In the present study , it was studied on the production and also structural and magnetic characterization of Fe3O4 doped chitosan polymers in different concentrations. Both in the atmosphere and vacuum environments structural and magnetic characterization of iron oxide (Fe3O4) doped nanocomposite polymers, which synthesized in 4 different ratios, were performed with solution casting method. The thin-film structural characterization was performed with High Resolution Transmission Electron Microscopy (HR-TEM), Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM) and Energy Dispersive X-ray Spectroscopy (EDX), while the Vibrating Sample Magnetometer (VSM) and the Ferromagnetic Resonance (FMR) techniques were used for magnetic characterization of the sample. Along with these, characteristics of the samples to absorb microwave were analyzed with the Vector Netvork Analyzer (VNA) device. The average size of Fe3O4 nanoparticles were observed to be around 40nm at the measurements with High Resolution Transmission Electron Microscopy (HR-TEM). According to the results of the FMR, the synthesized Fe3O4 doped chitosan polymers have been observed ferromagnetic behavior below the block temperature and above that temperature observed superparamagnetic behavior in the atmosphere and in the vacuum. And also VNA measurements showed that, microwaves absorbing characteristic of the chitosan polymers having superparamagnetic behavior exhibit low reflectance. As a result, it has been shown that the chitosan polymers can be produced in the form of 118
