ABSTRACT
Cyclophosphazenes, (NPXY)n, are an important class of inorganic hetero-ring
systems. Cyclophosphazenes are attracted the attention of researchers because of
their nucleophilic substitution reactions and the importance of academic and
scientific. In recent years numerous studies related to these reaction were done and
continues to be done. Especially, single-and double-bridged cyclophosphazene
derivatives are widely studied. Cyclophosphazene derivatives show various features
as a result of substitution reactions of the P-Cl bonds on the cyclophosphazenes
with different nucleophilic reagents. Cyclophosphazenes which completely
substituted with aromatic products show fluorescence properties. The examination
of the fluorescence properties of the synthesized compounds are important bacause
these compounds are used as chemosensor fluorescence for the determination of
the metal. Fluorescence method for sensor applications is a method used greatly in
recent years. In this study, the synthesis of fluorenylidene-bridged
cyclophosphazene compounds was carried out. Synthesized and isolated products
(1-40) were purified by suitable methods. The structures of synthesized all
compounds were identified by 1H, 31P NMR and mass (MALDI-TOF and ESI-MS),
spectroscopy techniques and single crystal X-ray measurements (2, 5, 6, 15) for
obtained suitable crystals. The UV-Vis and fluorescence spectroscopies were used to
investigate the photophysical and fluorescence properties of these fluorenylidenebridged
cyclophosphazene compounds. Absorption and fluorescence spectra of the
synthesized compounds in tetrahydrofuran were examined at the different
