Turkey’s Five-Star City: Antalya
Hospitality industry’s five-star concept facilities which is
accepted as the upmost segment in recognition of service,
product quality and diversity of offered service are mostly
located in Antalya across the Turkey.
Throughout Turkey, there are 4670 facilities which receive Tourism
Operation License from The Ministry of Culture and Tourism.
Licensed facilities consist of 1-2-3-4 and 5-star hotels, holiday
villages, guesthouses, special accommodation facilities, diners,
apart-hotels, entertainment venues, boutique hotels, congress
and exhibition halls, camping, ski resorts, hostels and way stations.
IT HAS 343 FIVE STARRED HOTELS
Five-star accommodation means at least 120 rooms with the
highest level and widest range of services provided by a facility
from the food to the room comfort, from the pool to the room
service. In Turkey’s 48 city, there are 686 five-star facilities in
total. Indicated as the most important tourism destination with
its sea, sand, sun, nature and history, Antalya has the highest
number of five-star facilities in Turkey. 343 five-star hotels
which have the license from The Ministry of Culture and Tourism
present in Antalya and its districts Aksu, Manavgat, Serik,
Alanya, Kemer.

and Marina Complex approved by Metropolitian
Municipality Council. Türel
stated that the High Planning Council also
approved the project, it is ready to bidding
and this project will accelerate the tourism
sector.
"WE NEED TO ATTRACT INVESTORS'
ATTENTION"
Türel remarked that they negotiated with
world's most prestigious and important
cruise companies about the project. He said;
"I met lots of people when I signed Sister
City Protocol in Miami. We must attract their
attention and make them invest in Antalya.
We improved this project for this purpose.
When we find an investor, Antalya will win."
After expressing that the project is a very
important investment for Antalya, he said;
"This investment will enhance the quality
of tourism. Cruise ships are used by high
income and third age tourists. We want to
build cruise port in order to bring these
high income tourists to Antalya. The most
suitable location for the project is municipality's
Lara Birlik Beach. This beach covers
very suitable 300 acres of land."
