Soft-Tennis
Heute spielen in Japan
Was ist eigentlich Soft-Tennis?
Viel leichter, fl exibler und weniger hart be-
More than 5 million people play the game with
the soft rubber ball in Japan today. They often
get hooked at an early age: in Japan, the game
is part of physical education at school – just like
we are doing gymnastics at the horizontal bar.
Worldwide, the sport is played in 35 countries.
Soft-Tennis: In Japan längst Volkssport – one of the most popular sports in Japan
indoors and outdoors and on each ground.
There are singles and doubles. Apart from that,
Soft-Tennis varies from traditional tennis: you
play with a soft rubber ball and a variant of the
tennis racket known to us. Lighter, more fl exible
and less tight, the racket enables easier cont-
rol of the ball. The sport can be learnt quickly
and easily – it is an ideal ball sport for all age
groups. Even smaller kids and older people can
learn how to handle ball and racket. Moreover,
there is less strain on your tendons and joints
– there is no such known injury as the “Soft-
Tennis arm“. Advanced players let the ball rota-
te more intensely through an extreme top spin
and thus bring a lot of dynamics and speed to
the game.
Soft-Tennis is available at FTC Palmengarten
