On 9 June 2011, in Paris at the Ecole Militaire, the OECD and the official
French Conseil Economique de la Defense are organizing the colloquium,
"Security Issues in a Changing World" (Enjeux de securite dans un monde en
mutation), with Minister of Defense Gerard Longuet, OECD General Secretary
Angel Gurria and former European Commission president Romano Prodi

"Public Action in Pakistan: Vacillating between Apathy and Anger"

On 15 June 2011, abstracts of proposed papers
are due for the 27-28 November
2011 first annual Colloquium on "Public Action
in Pakistan: Vacillating
between Apathy and Anger", in Islamabad,
Pakistan, organized by the
Institute of Social and Policy Sciences which will allow different social
sciences' perspectives on public policy and development agenda in Pakistan.
We are accepting the Abstracts of proposed papers by 15th June, 2011. The
Institute hopes to sponsor the participation of a limited number of
scholars in the Colloquium in the beautiful city of Lahore. Finalized
Papers shall be submitted by October 5, 2011 which will be sent out for a
peer review. The accepted papers will be circulated to participants prior
to the event. After the colloquium, developed versions of the papers
presented in the colloquium will be eligible for publication by March 2012.
