Known Issues - Framework Manager
Testing Query Subjects Imported from Third-Party Data Sources
You may not be able to test a query subject that you imported from a third-party data source if
any of the following conditions exist:
• The Framework Manager data source object created by the third-party import, and referenced
by the query subject, does not have an identically named corresponding data source in the
ReportNet content store.
• The corresponding content store data source exists but is not valid (i.e the connection information
is wrong).
• The optional schema or catalog properties of the data source object that the third-party
import created and the query subject references are incorrect (for the databases accepting
case-sensitive identifiers, you should also make sure the case is also right).
• The database object (such as a table or view) represented by the query subject no longer exists
in the database or it was renamed since the third-party model was created, or it is otherwise
not accessible within the current connection.
431249
For example, you test a query subject and get this error message:
QE-DEF-0177 An error occurred while performing operation
'sqlPrepareWithOptions' status='-201'.
UDA-SQL-0196 The table or view "GOSALES1.COGNOS.COM.GOSALES.CONVERSION_RATE"
was not found in the dictionary.
As a solution, ensure that none of the conditions enumerated above apply.
QE-DEF-0177 Error When Using Native Data Source Functions in SQL Statements
That Return a CLOB or BLOB
431931
When a SQL statement contains a native data source function that accepts CLOB or BLOB, the
following error occurs:
QE-DEF-0177 An error occurred while performing operation 'sqlROpen' status='-
9'
To avoid this, use a SQL99 function instead of a native data source function.
Time Data Type Imported Incorrectly
438756
When you import a query item with a data type of Time, Framework Manager sets the data type
to Character. If you want the data type to be set to Time, you must change it manually.
Conflicting Data Type Error
430544
If you change the data type of a prompt, you receive this error when testing the query subject:
ERROR -> QE-DEF-0374 Prompt 'what' is used multiple times with conflicting data
types.
The solution is to rename the prompt in the macro when changing the data type.
Unable to Connect Multiple Developers to a SourceSafe Repository
SourceSafe and CVS repositories intended to be shared over a network must be configured with a
network address.
