Estranged precendents<br />
Situated far from the city center, the parking lot is a calm place<br />
surrounded by the MRI institut, grave shops and the biggest city‘s<br />
cemetery. It is a site people only pass through. By night, being<br />
near the cemetery and the absence of light makes the parking lot<br />
uncomfortable.<br />
The parking is <strong>des</strong>igned as an interactive public space, with peculiar<br />
and odd-shaped moving streetlights (in reference to West<br />
8 and the project „Theatre Square“ in Rotterdam). The off-street<br />
parking‘s random arrangement (no marking on the fl oor) is extended<br />
to the new mobiliar disposition.<br />
Consequently, different sources of light are multiplied in order to<br />
