I.- 35 - Marinovrect tension. <strong>The</strong> small machines have only about 20-30 "sectors" (radial copperwires) which can be counted by the reader in figs. 13, 14 and in fig. 5 <strong>of</strong> Ref. 13.Thus, according to me, the machine is an electrostatic motor <strong>of</strong> the kind <strong>of</strong> Holtz-Poggendorff-Grliel or something similar coupled with an influence generator. Forthe two-wheel machinesthe generator is <strong>of</strong> the kind <strong>of</strong> the Wimshurst influence machinebut the mutually perpendicular diameters have no brushes sliding on the metal sectorsand the charges jump on (from) these metal diameters in the same <strong>way</strong> in which theyjump on (from) the collecting electrodes. I can presume that the driving electrodesin TESTATIKA are connected to high-tension condensers (thousands <strong>of</strong> volts), whilethe collecting electrodes are connected to low- tension condensers (few hundres <strong>of</strong>volts). Both kind <strong>of</strong> condensers are charged by the machine itself.Of course, the <strong>way</strong> in which the machine really operates is not clear to me.
