GTR – Verfahren versus traditionelle chirurgische Behandlung
bei intraossären Defekten
There is considerable evidence that regenerative surgery brings significant added benefits in
terms of increase in tooth support, resolution of deep pockets associated with intrabony
defects and change in tooth prognosis. This presentation will focus on a systematic assessment
of the evidence base of these statements but will also cover the practical implications arising
from this knowledge. Focus will be on the decision making strategies to achieve optimal
results and high levels of predictability. Finally the current knowledge related to the relative
performance of teeth with regenerated ligmanent and an implant based alternative will be
discussed.
