Ibex Pro zielt auf erweiterte Anwendungen
ab, wiegt lediglich 2,6 kg
und steckt in einem Gehäuse mit
IP56 Schutzklasse (staubgeschützt,
dicht gegen starke Wasserstrahlung).

Pixelauflösung (VGA) stellt die Ultraschallbilder
und deren Auswertungen
dar und wird zur Benutzerführung
verwendet.
Momentan arbeitet man an einer Erweiterung
der Ultraschallmethodik für den
Einsatz der Geräte in der Humanmedizin.
Anwendungsbereiche finden sich beispielsweise
bei Rettungseinsätzen, im
Militärbereich oder bei Noteinsätzen der

The portable analyzer Ibex Lite and Ibex
Pro, derived from the cooperation between
NetModule and EI Medical, enable mobile
ultrasound in veterinary medicine and
professional animal breeding. With
the realization of the specific product
requirements, the FPGA expertise of
NetModule saved the developers valuable
time , because the processing required for
high performance ultrasound signals can
currently only be undertaken efficiently
with FPGAs. Both units are extremely
light, inexpensive, compact and energy
efficient. The battery-powered models
operate in harsh, sometimes dirty
environments (stables) at temperatures
ranging from -20 ° C to +50 ° C for several
hours without problems. They are lowstress
for the examined animals, deliver
quick results with high precision and
triumph with their low cost. Thanks to
the high image quality and easy image
evaluation the breeders can control their
results themselves directly on site and
thus save valuable time.
Currently an extension of the ultrasound
methodology for the use of the devices
in human medicine is being worked
on. Example application areas are in
rescue operations, in the military field
or in emergencies involving the police
and fire department. Before entering
the market the devices must be certified
– since significantly stricter standards
prevail for human medicine; particularly
in the USA where the approval is based
on criteria from the FDA (Food and Drug
Administration), the American authority
for food and medical products. The
certification is already in full swing, so
that the market launch can be expected in
the first half of 2010.
