Natürlich ist es auch wichtig, den richtigen<br />

Partner an seiner Seite zu haben. Diesen<br />

haben wir in der Kommunikationsagentur<br />

X-Ray gefunden, denn sie kennen uns und<br />

die Life Sciences Branche und waren am Set<br />

absolut professionell, von der Stylistin bis<br />

Sehen wir also zukünftig im Kommunikationsmaterial<br />

der <strong>ARCONDIS</strong> nur noch<br />

Originale?<br />

Leider nein. Es gibt Bereiche, zum Beispiel<br />

in der Produktion oder im Labor vor Ort bei<br />

Kunden, die wir selbstverständlich nicht<br />

fo<strong>to</strong>grafieren oder einfach nachstellen können.<br />

Die Bilder unseres Shoots werden aber<br />

grossflächig in Print- und digitalen Medien<br />

eingesetzt. Auch hier in dieser <strong>UPDATE</strong>-Ausgabe<br />

sind sie bereits im Einsatz. Man muss<br />

aber schon sehr genau hinschauen – qualitativ<br />

gibt es keinen Unterschied zwischen<br />

unseren eigenen und zugekauften Fo<strong>to</strong>s.<br />

Nur, dass sie eben au<strong>the</strong>ntischer sind. Wenn<br />

man den Berater nicht persönlich kennt, wird<br />

es schwierig, unsere <strong>ARCONDIS</strong> Models<br />

auszumachen.<br />

Das heisst, Sie sind glücklich mit den<br />

Ergebnissen der Fo<strong>to</strong>-Sessions?<br />

Ja, ich finde, es sind <strong>to</strong>lle Fo<strong>to</strong>s geworden,<br />

die den Spirit und die Arbeitsweise<br />

der <strong>ARCONDIS</strong> sehr gut transportieren. In<br />

diesem Sinne: Herzlichen Dank an unsere<br />

grossartigen <strong>ARCONDIS</strong> Berater, die vor der<br />

Kamera ihre Vielseitigkeit nun auch als Fo<strong>to</strong>models<br />

unter Beweis gestellt haben!<br />

E_Our ambitious plan: A two-day pho<strong>to</strong><br />

shoot with twenty of <strong>the</strong> around 120<br />

<strong>ARCONDIS</strong> employees as models. Recently,<br />

our employees were on camera for <strong>the</strong><br />

second time, with <strong>the</strong> goal of creating au<strong>the</strong>ntic<br />

company images. Marketing Manager<br />

Sonja Fix reveals why <strong>ARCONDIS</strong> is<br />

taking this ra<strong>the</strong>r complex approach in an<br />

interview with <strong>UPDATE</strong>.<br />

Ms. Fix, why not use s<strong>to</strong>ck pictures like<br />

many o<strong>the</strong>r companies do?<br />

Because that would only be half as fun<br />

(laughs). The fact of <strong>the</strong> matter is that we are<br />

intentionally presenting ourselves with information<br />

and pictures so that people can get<br />

<strong>to</strong> know us. We want <strong>to</strong> establish trust, and<br />

au<strong>the</strong>nticity makes this much easier. In <strong>the</strong><br />

areas of consultation and services, fac<strong>to</strong>rs<br />

such as reliability, responsiveness and an understanding<br />

for <strong>the</strong> cus<strong>to</strong>mer’s situation are<br />

just as important as service expertise. This is<br />

what <strong>ARCONDIS</strong> stands for, and we want <strong>to</strong><br />

convey this message. What better way than<br />

with our own employees?<br />

One good example is our job advertisements:<br />

In consulting, we look for versatile<br />

employees who manage comprehensive<br />

programs, master challenging situations in<br />

<strong>the</strong> project environment situationally, but<br />

are also ready <strong>to</strong> take control. We look for<br />

consultants with a strong personality, and<br />

have reinforced this statement for years with<br />

pictures and information of our own employees<br />

in <strong>the</strong> job profile.<br />

Many people are camera-shy and have<br />

reservations about seeing <strong>the</strong>mselves<br />

on printed materials or online. Wasn’t it<br />

difficult <strong>to</strong> find volunteers?<br />

On <strong>the</strong> contrary! Way more than twenty<br />

people came forward across all hierarchical<br />

levels and locations. We were stunned by<br />

this dedication!<br />

And this is a great sign for <strong>ARCONDIS</strong>.<br />

Anyone willing <strong>to</strong> promote <strong>the</strong> company with<br />

<strong>the</strong>ir face is 100% behind <strong>the</strong> company. You<br />

can see that <strong>the</strong> employees are proud <strong>to</strong> be<br />

part of <strong>ARCONDIS</strong>, in <strong>the</strong> pictures <strong>to</strong>o!<br />

This type of campaign promotes networking<br />

and discussions among colleagues, especially<br />

across locations. Despite <strong>the</strong> professionality,<br />

a lot of laughing goes on.<br />

The pictures are done very professionally<br />

and <strong>the</strong> “behind <strong>the</strong> scenes” shots reveal:<br />

There were just about as many people behind<br />

<strong>the</strong> camera as in front of it. What is<br />

important when doing this type of shoot?<br />

A pho<strong>to</strong> shoot is just a mini project. Good<br />

planning and a coherent concept are half <strong>the</strong><br />

battle. This includes thinking about <strong>the</strong> scenarios<br />

you want <strong>to</strong> depict beforehand. We<br />

take real work situations and transform <strong>the</strong>m<br />

in<strong>to</strong> a scene using a mood board.<br />

Of course, it is important <strong>to</strong> have <strong>the</strong> right<br />

partner at your side. For us, this is communications<br />

agency X-Ray. They know us and <strong>the</strong><br />

life sciences industry, and were completely<br />

professional on set, from <strong>the</strong> stylist <strong>to</strong> <strong>the</strong><br />

pho<strong>to</strong>grapher.<br />

Does this mean we will only be seeing<br />

originals in <strong>ARCONDIS</strong> communications<br />

materials in <strong>the</strong> future?<br />

Unfortunately, no. There are areas, such as<br />

production or cus<strong>to</strong>mer labora<strong>to</strong>ries, that we<br />

are unable <strong>to</strong> pho<strong>to</strong>graph or easily reconstruct.<br />

But <strong>the</strong> pictures from our shoots<br />

are used extensively in print and digital<br />

media. You can even find <strong>the</strong>m in this issue<br />

of <strong>UPDATE</strong>. You have <strong>to</strong> look very closely<br />

– in terms of quality, <strong>the</strong>re is no difference<br />

between our own and purchased pho<strong>to</strong>s.<br />

Except <strong>the</strong>y are more au<strong>the</strong>ntic, of course. If<br />

you don’t know <strong>the</strong> consultant personally, it<br />

will be difficult <strong>to</strong> recognize our <strong>ARCONDIS</strong><br />

models.<br />

So, you’re happy with <strong>the</strong> results of <strong>the</strong><br />

pho<strong>to</strong> sessions?<br />

Yes, I think <strong>the</strong> pictures turned out great<br />

and really capture <strong>the</strong> spirit and character of<br />

<strong>ARCONDIS</strong>. On that note: Thank you <strong>to</strong> our<br />

now proven <strong>the</strong>ir versatility as models!<br />
