Fit on the green and on water<br />
<strong>Osnabrücker</strong> <strong>Land</strong> also has plenty <strong>of</strong> “green(s)” for<br />
keen golf players. <strong>The</strong>y are sure to enjoy swinging<br />
their clubs in the splendid surroundings <strong>of</strong> the golf<br />
courses in the Artland, in Ankum, at Arenshorst<br />
stately home in Bohmte, in Bissendorf and at the<br />
site where the legendary Battle <strong>of</strong> the Teutoburg<br />
Forest took place at Kalkriese. Handicaps won’t be<br />
an issue for young and old golf players at the Swingolf<br />
courses in Quakenbrück and Glandorf.<br />
<strong>The</strong> region also <strong>of</strong>fers many possibilities for water<br />
sport enthusiasts. Alfsee lake with its 220 hectares<br />
has a water ski facility and is also ideal for swimming.<br />
Canoeing on the river Hase is a rather different<br />
way <strong>of</strong> discovering the region. Whether on<br />
land or water, on foot or on a bike: the region has<br />
plenty <strong>of</strong> opportunities to keep sport enthusiasts<br />
