Would you like to meet European school partners? Would you like to host an Assistant from<br />
a European country? Have you considered collaborating with other European schools via the<br />
Internet? If you are interested in any <strong>of</strong> these areas and would like to find out more, the<br />
Education Service <strong>of</strong> Léargas would like to invite you to attend practical information<br />
workshops:<br />
Workshop 1: (this workshop will be a plenary-style workshop)<br />
• Comenius School Partnerships: Transnational school partnerships that enable pupils,<br />
students and staff from across Europe to work together on joint projects<br />
• European In-Service Training for pr<strong>of</strong>essional development for staff involved in school<br />
education<br />
• Comenius Assistantships to encourage intercultural awareness and language learning<br />
• The European Award for Languages and other language initiatives<br />
Workshop 2: (this workshop will be a practical workshop in a computer lab.)<br />
• eTwinning (www.etwinning.net): a framework for schools to collaborate on the Internet<br />
with partner schools in other European countries<br />
