"7 Euro" by Lea Weigert, 2021
https://lcb.de/skizzenblog/leaweigert-7-euro/
Lea Weigert ist Illustratorin und
Tätowiererin. Die Art und Weise,
wie die junge Künstlerin ihre Werke
auf Haut verewigt, beeinflusst auch
ihre Arbeitsweise auf Papier und
umgekehrt, wobei sie stets Fiktion
und Realität zu metaphorischen
Erzählweisen verbindet. Unter dem
Synonym „Ich weiger mich“ waren
ihre Arbeiten zuletzt in der Berliner
Schikkimikki Galerie, im Düsseldorfer
Onomato sowie auf dem Snaileye-
Festival in Leipzig zu sehen.
Lea Weigert is an illustrator and
tattoo artist. The way this young
artist immortalizes her works on skin
also influences her way of working
on paper and vice versa, always
combining fiction and reality into
metaphoric narratives. Under the
synonym “Ich weiger mich,” (I refuse)
her works were most recently on
view at Berlin’s Schikkimikki Gallery,
Düsseldorf’s Onomato, and the
Snaileye Festival in Leipzig.
