Alarms<br />
1 Gyro alarm<br />
This indication will light up if the rate gyro is not working properly or has not reached the<br />
required speed (immediately after switching-on), to show that the indication is not reliable.<br />
This indicator will switch-off again as soon as the rate gyro has reached the required speed<br />
and/or is functioning properly.<br />
2 Rudder system alarm<br />
If the rudder system does not respond to the control commands of the pilot. The <strong>Sigma</strong><br />
<strong>550</strong> gives a rudder alarm.<br />
3 Course alarm.<br />
If in the turn-indicator function, the difference between the rate-of-turn set and the rateof-turn<br />
measured exceeds the alarm value set by more than 12 seconds, a course alarm will<br />
be sounded.<br />
4 Voltage alarm<br />
If there is no voltage or if the voltage is too low for the correct working of the pilot, a<br />
voltage alarm will be given. If all the voltages are ok and the <strong>Sigma</strong> <strong>550</strong> is switched-on, this<br />
indicator will light-up in green.<br />
In the case of a communication alarm, the voltage alarm will flash and the acoustic alarm<br />
cannot be reset.
