FJÄRÅS BRÄCKA RIDGE
- Here the prehistoric times start...
When the inland ice started to recede, the majestic moraine
ridge of Fjärås Bräcka was formed. It became an
important transport route for the first humans to arrive
here about 10 000 years ago. Today the view from the top
of the ridge is magnificent. The Iron Age graveyard on
the edge of the ridge is one of the finest of its kind with
more than 100 old Norse memorial stones.
Fjärås Bräcka naturum, a Visitor Centre including a
coffee shop, is open daily during the summer season
and includes an exhibition that provides an overview
of our history.

From Kungsbacka, drive the E6 and from the E6 junction
in Fjärås no 58, follow the signes to ”Fjärås Bräcka”.

- Hier beginnt die Vorzeit...
Als das Inlandeis abschmolz, wurde der mächtige Moränenrücken
Fjärås Bräcka gebildet. Vor ungefähr 10 000
Jahren kamen die ersten Menschen und die Fjärås Bräcka
wurde dann zu einem wichtigen Verkehrsweg. Heute
hat man vom Kamm der Fjärås Bräcka aus eine atemberaubende
Aussicht. Das Eisenzeitgräberfeld am Rande
der Bräcka, ist eines der berühmtesten seiner Art dieses
Landes. Naturum Fjärås Bräcka, Informationszenter mit
Cafeteria, ist während der Sommersaison täglich geöffnet.
