‘Cardinal’- Bright red, “cherry red” stemmed (Dirr, 1990).<br />
‘Cheney’- (Hill, 2004).<br />
‘Emerald ‘n’ Silver’- (Hill, 2004).<br />
‘Flaviramea’- Yellow stemmed form.<br />
‘Harrington’- (Hill, 2004).<br />
‘Hedgerows Gold’ - (Hill, 2004).<br />
‘Isanti’- Compact grower with red stems (Dirr, 1990).<br />
‘Kelsey Dwarf’- Very compact grower of ‘Kelseyi’.<br />
‘Kelseyi’- Compact grower to only 24-30”. Not as colorful of stems (Dirr, 1990).<br />
‘Peter’s Choice’- (Hill, 2004).<br />
‘Silver <strong>and</strong> Gold’- A variegated form that has yellow stems. The leaves have a cream<br />
border along their margins (Dirr, 1990).<br />
‘Sunshine’- An introduced form from Washington Park Arboretum. Has red stems that<br />
set off the yellow colored leaves (Dirr, 1990).<br />
‘Variegata’- A nice variegated form with red stems. The leaves have a light green center<br />
with a creamy white border.<br />
‘Wallowa’- (Hill, 2004).<br />
Corylus cornuta- A large tree or shrub with multiple trunks. Long catkins of yellow in early<br />
spring are followed by hazelnuts. A favorite of squirrels <strong>and</strong> chipmunks. Place in “Forested<br />
Ridge” under tree canopy or open sunny areas. Does not perform well in wet sites. Ethnobotany:<br />
Nuts were eaten. Shoots used to make rope.<br />
Corylus cornuta X C. avellana<br />
Cupressocyparis X notabilis (Cupressus glabra x Chamaecyparis nootkatensis)- Not widely<br />
planted, but another interesting intergeneric hybrid. Has dark grayish green foliage. Height is<br />
unkown. The largest specimen is over 40’. Best placed on “Forested Ridge” site.<br />

Cupressocyparis X ovensii (Cupressus lusitanica x Chamaecypais nootkatensis)- Yet another<br />
hydrid. Takes on C. nootkatensis appearance with flattened drooping sprays of foliage that are<br />
dark green. Best placed on “Forested Ridge” site.<br />
