Occurrence.—Associated with quartz, calcitc, and pyrito in<br />
Auvergne, in the Vosges, at Anglar and La Crouso.<br />
Biiidheimite.<br />
Composition.—Hydratcd antimonato of lead, Pb3SbL,O8 + 4H2O or<br />
2PbO.Sb2Of,.3H2O or PbO.Sb2O6.H2O.<br />
Properties.—Amorphous, rcniform or spheroidal. H. = 4. (*. =<br />
4*60-4*76. Lustre resinous, dull or earthy. Colour white, gray,<br />
brownish, yellowish. Streak white to grayish or yellowish.<br />
Occurrence.—A product of the decomposition of other antimonial<br />
ores. At Nerchinsk, Siberia; Horhauscn; in Cornwall; in Sevier<br />
Co., Arkansas.<br />
Boulangerite.<br />
Compodtion.—Vhtpo^ or 3PbS.Sb2Ss.<br />
Properties.—In plumose masses, showing on tho fracture a crystalline<br />
structure; also granular and compact. H. = 2*5-3. (•». = 5*70~(K).<br />
Lustro metallic. Colour bluish lead-gray. Behaves before the blowpipe<br />
like zinkenite.<br />
Occurrence.—Abundant at Molierca, Franco ; in Lapland ; at Nerchinsk<br />
; Obor-Lahr in Sayn-Altenkirohen ; JSilborsand, near jMayonco,<br />
in tho Eifel; Wolfsbcrg in the Fl'arz ; Pi-ibram in Bohemia; and near<br />
Bottino in Tuscany.<br />
Bournonite.<br />

Properties.—Orthoi'hombic. Twins, often repeated, forming' r/ruciibrm<br />
and wheel-shaped crystals. CryntaLs short priHmatie to tabular ;<br />
often in parallel juxtaposition; prismatic facea often vertically<br />
ntriated. Also massive, granular, compact. Kathcr brittle. 11.»<br />
2*5-3. (*. = 5*7-5*9. Lustre metallic. Colour and streak Htool-gray.<br />
Opaque.<br />
Occu/rrence.-—At Noudorf, WolfnlnTg, ClauHtlial, and AndrcuHlxu'g,<br />
in tho H'arz * at Pribram in Bohemia ; at Kapnik, Hungary ; at Sorvoss<br />
in Piedmont; and in Cornwall.<br />
