We are all trying to escape from
something. We successfully escape from
our lives, from the ones we hate or love,
from our responsibilities… But upon
reading Yangın Merdiveni (Fire Escape
Stairs) , we realise that we are only
running away from ourselves. The loving
arms, which will embrace us in the end,
are nothing but loneliness.
