Trexel, Inc., offers The MuCell® Microcellular Foam
injection molding and extrusion technology. This is
a complete process and equipment technology that
facilitates extremely high quality and greatly reduces
production costs. The MuCell Process involves the
controlled use of gas in its supercritical state to create
a foamed product. With MuCell Molding, the technology
is targeted at precision and engineered plastic
components with maximum wall thicknesses of less
than 3mm. The MuCell Extrusion Process offers
the greatest advantage to extrusion processors who
MUST HAVE the added performance of very small
closed cells or MUST HAVE an environmentally
clean solution. The small closed cells improve many
properties compared to standard foaming techniques
such as impact, ductility, insulation, sealability, and
appearance. Trexel also supplies high performance
Nitrogen and Carbon Dioxide Supercritical Fluid
Delivery Systems in all size ranges for other industrial
applications beyond microcellular foaming.
CROWN Machine (Addison, IL)—Designs and
develops innovative underwater pelletizers and
pellet dryers. These new Patented and Patent
pending designs will change the face of underwater
pelletizing. CROWN unveiled at ChinaPlas 2009
(Guangzhou, May 18-21) and exhibited at NPE
2009 (Chicago, June 22-26) the Super Belt Dryer,
a pellet dryer that de-waters, dries, fluidizes, and
classifies in one self-contained unit. The CROWN
pelletizing unit includes a servo-controlled underwater
pelletizer that provides precision control of
pressure of the cutting blades on the die face. In
addition to CROWN’s underwater pelletizing system
developments, CROWN shared at NPE 2009
how its Patent pending rotary dryer and tapered
NGR has changed the way of recycling plastic
waste. The idea is to replace the multi-step technology
with a cost-effective, compact and easyto-maintain
ONE-STEP technology. The revolutionary
NGR cutter-feeder-extruder combination
makes the entire recycling process more economical
by combining a powerful single-shaft cutter
with an extruder into one unit. That eliminates the
need for pre-cutting and densification of the material.
Such advantages mean a short period for your
return of investment. NGR is a manufacturer of
turnkey and custom-tailored plants for recycling
of thermoplastics with an output from 10 kg up
to 2.000 kg.
