(iii) The achievement of the objective set out in point (b)(iii) of this Article shall be
measured ex post by:
- the transmission of renewable electricity from generation to major consumption
centers and storage sites;
- the sum of CO2 emissions prevented by the construction of the projects which
benefited from the CEF.
These elements serve for the ex post measurement of the achievement of the objectives and
shall not constitute selection or eligibility criteria for actions of support from the CEF.
(c) In the telecommunications sector the CEF shall provide for actions to support projects of
common interest pursuing the objectives specified in Article 2 of Regulation (EU) No
XXXX/2012 [INFSO Guidelines].
Article 5
Budget 34
1. The financial envelope of the CEF for the period 2014 to 2020 shall be
[EUR 50 000 000 000]. 35 That amount shall be distributed as follows:
(a) transport sector: [EUR 31 694 000 000][, out of which EUR 10 000 000 000 shall be
transferred from the Cohesion Fund to be spent in line with this Regulation in Member
States eligible for funding from the Cohesion Fund];
34 Amounts in this article are dealt with by the Friends of the Presidency Group (FoP). General
reservation on this article pending the decision on the transfer of funds from the Cohesion
Fund.
35 All figures in constant 2011 prices. The corresponding amounts, expressed in current prices,
can be found in the Legislative Financial Statement.
