The sample <strong>of</strong> 20 works contracts for <strong>the</strong> <strong>Holyrood</strong> <strong>project</strong> included:<br />
• a range <strong>of</strong> different work types: structural, cladding, ro<strong>of</strong>ing, joinery, fit-out, services, hard landscaping etc<br />
• all <strong>the</strong> contractors with <strong>the</strong> largest share <strong>of</strong> work<br />
• a mix <strong>of</strong> contracts awarded at different times<br />
• a few contracts where final accounts had been agreed<br />
• many higher value contracts; <strong>the</strong> estimated final cost <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> 20 contracts is £153 million or 56% <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> total<br />
construction expenditure excluding risk<br />
• packages from different parts <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> site including <strong>the</strong> MSP <strong>building</strong>, <strong>the</strong> assembly <strong>building</strong> and Queensberry<br />
House.<br />
