Dubrovnik – The Pearl of the Adriatic
11th – 18th September 8 Day Tour
Following very positive feedback from our first trip to Croatia last year, we are delighted to
be returning again in 2013. With its uniquely preserved medieval walls, brilliant sunshine,
translucent waters and dramatic mountains, the Dubrovnik Riviera is a unique holiday
experience that lives up to its reputation as a premier destination.
We base our holiday in the beautiful seaside town of Cavtat , set in a picturesque bay and
harbour, and only 12 miles from Dubrovnik. Our flights from Knock make this holiday a really
relaxing break on the Adriatic.
Wed 11th: Letterkenny –Knock – Dubrovnik – Cavtat, Croatia
This morning we travel to Ireland West Airport, Knock for our flight to Dubrovnik. Once
in Croatia we make the very short journey to the charming and relaxing seaside resort of
Cavtat, our base for the next 7 nights.
Thur 12th: Day Tour to Dubrovnik
This morning we make the short journey (just 12 miles) to the City of Dubrovnik. We begin
with a guided tour of the Old Town, followed by a free afternoon to do as we please.
Fri 13th: Free Day in Cavtat
A day to relax in this traditional seaside town - a delightful resort set in a picturesque bay
and harbour, the tree-lined promenade has many pleasant cafes, restaurants, bars and gift
shops for us to wander along.
Sat 14th: Day to Medjugorje
For many this pilgrimage will be a highlight of their holiday, Medjugorje is a special place
visited by thousands each year seeking the spirituality and serenity that can be felt here.
Sun 15th: Free Day in Cavtat
Another day at leisure in the pleasant mixture of ancient cultures and modern amenities of
Cavtat.
Mon 16th: Day Tour to Elaphite Islands
Bring your sun hat and sun cream for a day spent ‘island-hopping’ as we take a boat trip
visiting three of the Elaphite Islands. For a taste of island life we will be treated to a fish
picnic lunch.
Tue 17th: Free Day in Cavtat
Our final day is free for us to soak up some last minute sunshine or shop for some holiday
souvenirs in Cavtat.
Wed 18th: Cavtat – Dubrovnik - Knock - Letterkenny
After a week of relaxation on the Adriatic, we bid farewell to beautiful Cavtat and fly back to
Knock, where the coach will meet us and bring us back to Letterkenny.

25th September – 5th October 11 Day Tour
This tour to Eastern Europe is based in the two Imperial Cities of Prague and Vienna. Our
itinerary is planned to give maximum enjoyment & relaxation in both the storybook City of
Prague, and the opulent, glistening City of Vienna.
Wed 25th: Letterkenny – Larne – Cairnryan – Hull
We take the morning ferry from Larne to Cairnryan and then make our way to Hull for our
overnight luxury cruise ferry sailing to Rotterdam.
Thur 26th: Rotterdam – Gotha, Germany
Today we travel through Holland and Germany to our hotel in the core of Germany.
Fri 27th: Gotha – Dresden - Prague
Today we visit the historic city of Dresden, a city badly damaged during WWII, but now
beautifully restored. In the afternoon we continue to our hotel in the Imperial City of
Prague.
Sat 28th: Guided City Tour of Prague - Free Afternoon
An opportunity to admire some of Prague’s finest sights including Charles Bridge with 75
statues along it’s walls, Wenceslas Square, and Prague Castle.
Sun 29th: Free Day in Prague
Enjoy a day in “the city of a hundred spires”, perhaps visit the original ‘Child of Prague’, do
some shopping, or explore Prague’s old quarter with it’s network of winding streets, little
taverns, and street cafes.
Mon 30th: Prague – Schonbrunn Palace - Vienna
We travel south into Austria to our next Imperial City, Vienna. On the outskirts of the city
we visit the spectacular Schonbrunn Palace & Gardens, summer residence of the Imperial
family.
Tues 1st: Guided City Tour of Vienna - Free Afternoon
This morning we will be amazed by the elegance of Vienna and it’s ornate buildings including
St Stephen’s Cathedral, the State Opera House, and Hofburg Palace.
Wed 2nd: Free Day in Vienna
A free day in “the City of Music”, perhaps admire the view from the tower of the cathedral in
the very centre of the city, or simply soak up the atmosphere and heritage all around.
Thurs 3rd: Vienna - Wurzburg
Today we leave Austria, and travel to the pretty German town of Wurzburg for our overnight
stay.
Fri 4th: Wurzburg – Rotterdam
We travel north again through the lowlands of Holland to Rotterdam for our overnight
sailing.
Sat 5th: Hull – Cairnryan – Larne - Letterkenny
After our overnight sailing we travel back to the Emerald Isle, arriving back in Letterkenny
at approx. 8.30pm.
