Previously, Mr Yassine has held<br />

the positions of Director at Babcock<br />

and Brown Limited, Director at<br />

PricewaterhouseCoopers and a Solicitor<br />

in the Corporate Practice at Dunhill<br />

Madden Butler.<br />

On Australia Day 2010, Mr Yassine was<br />

awarded a Medal of the Order of Australia<br />

(OAM) for his service to business and to the<br />

community through a range of education,<br />

health and multicultural organisations.<br />

Robert Dunn was appointed as a Director<br />

of Sydney Ports Corporation in April 20<strong>12</strong>.<br />

Mr Dunn is the Chief Executive Officer<br />

of Opportunity International Australia, a<br />

not-for-profit organisation that provides<br />

people living in poverty with the<br />

opportunity to transform their lives<br />

through microfinance and community<br />

development programs. He is also the<br />

Chairman of Opportunity International<br />

Australia's Indian subsidiary, Dia<br />

Vikas Capital.<br />

Mr Dunn is a member of the Institute of<br />

Chartered Accountants in Australia and a<br />

director of Baptist Community Services –<br />

NSW and ACT, a major provider of aged<br />

care and community services.<br />

He was formerly the Finance Director with<br />

Patrick Corporation for 14 years. He has<br />

also worked for Dart Corporation and Price<br />

Waterhouse, with postings in London and<br />

New York respectively.<br />

Penny Bingham-Hall was appointed as<br />

a Director of Sydney Ports Corporation in<br />

April 20<strong>12</strong>.<br />

Ms Bingham-Hall has been a non-executive<br />

Director of BlueScope Steel since March<br />

2011 and Australia Post since May 2011.<br />

She has spent more than 20 years in a variety<br />

of executive roles with Leighton Holdings<br />

prior to retiring from the company at the<br />

end of 2009.<br />

Ms Bingham-Hall is also a Director of<br />

SCEGGS Darlinghurst school and was<br />

the inaugural Chairman of Advocacy<br />

Services Australia (the fiduciary company<br />

for the Tourism and Transport Forum and<br />

Infrastructure Partnerships Australia) until<br />

the end of 2011. She has also previously<br />

held non-executive directorships with other<br />

industry and community organisations,<br />

including the VisAsia Council of the Art<br />

Gallery of NSW, The Global Foundation<br />

and the Australian Council for Infrastructure<br />

Development.<br />

Staff director<br />

Michael Sullivan was elected to the<br />

position of Staff Director by the staff of the<br />

Corporation in July 2002 and subsequently<br />

re-elected in 2005, 2008 and 2011. He joined<br />

the Maritime Services Board in 1977 and has<br />

held a variety of positions within head office<br />

until transferring to marine operations in<br />

1991 as a port officer. Mr Sullivan’s extensive<br />

operational and head office experience<br />

provides a sound basis for his contribution<br />

as Staff Director to the Board.<br />

john Brogden<br />

John Brogden was appointed as a Director<br />

of Sydney Ports Corporation in March 2010.<br />

Mr Brogden is the CEO of the Financial<br />

Services Council and the Chairman of<br />

Landcom. He is a Director of NIA Pty Ltd<br />

and has previously served as CEO of<br />

Manchester Unity and Independent<br />

Chairman of Abacus Australian Mutuals.<br />

Mr Brogden is the National Patron of<br />

Lifeline – Australia’s suicide counselling<br />

service. He was the Member for Pittwater in<br />

the NSW Parliament from 1996 to 2005 and<br />

Leader of the Opposition from 2002 to 2005.<br />

He holds a Master of Public Affairs from<br />

the University of Sydney and is a Member<br />

of the Australian Institute of Company<br />

Directors.<br />

Mr Brodgen resigned as a Director of<br />

Sydney Ports Corporation on 30 June 20<strong>12</strong>.<br />

Rene van der Loos and Michael Braham<br />

were Directors of Sydney Ports<br />

Corporation until 14 February 20<strong>12</strong> when<br />

their terms concluded.<br />

David Gallop was appointed as a Director<br />

of Sydney Ports Corporation on 1 July 20<strong>12</strong><br />

and resigned from this position effective<br />

10 October 20<strong>12</strong>.<br />
