JOB SUMMARY:<br />
The Bookkeeper is responsible for the financial reporting of Skatin <strong>Nation</strong>s. This<br />
includes ensuring that the financial reports are available for ea<strong>ch</strong> department and<br />
for Chief and Council. The Bookkeeper keeps track of the budget, provides<br />
reports for all projects, prints <strong>ch</strong>eques and makes deposits.<br />
SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:<br />
A post-secondary education in finance; recent related experience; able to work to<br />
deadlines with discretion and is results oriented; understands the nature of<br />
confidentiality and is prepared to a sign a confidentiality agreement with Skatin.<br />
Specific requirements are:<br />
experienced bookkeeper<br />
knowledge of Simply Accounting Payroll<br />
knowledge of Adagio System<br />
works with Auditor<br />
financial management and budget preparation skills<br />
familiar with Skatin <strong>Nation</strong>s culture, First <strong>Nation</strong>s organizations and INAC<br />
reporting guidelines<br />
driver’s license and reliable vehicle<br />
SALARY RANGE: Bookkeeper Salary - Based on Experience<br />
SCOPE:<br />
Half-time, three days a week, 8.0 per day – one (1) hour unpaid lun<strong>ch</strong> break.<br />
