This year’s In-SHUCK-ch Days has
come and gone, and it was a great
success. Thank you to everyone that
participated.
We had a few new workshops this
year, from the pine needle basket
demonstration to the Dakota House’s
inspirational workshops. There were
also 10 people that made rattles this
year and participated in a ceremony
on Sunday. As I walked around it
looked like everyone was enjoying
themselves. It was nice to even see
people sitting and socializing as well
as those enjoying the workshops.
It was powerful watching people
make drums, learn our language,
learn about the traditional plants that
can be found locally and used for
medicinal purposes and to showcase
our culture for our guests and the
younger generation.

In-SHUCK-ch Days Go Green!
This was second year of our green
initiative and it was a great success.
Half of our participants brought their
own dishes, cups and bowls.
This year was a lot of fun; it just
keeps getting better year by year. I
have posted pictures from the event

additional photos please feel free to
