HEMI laughs. HEMI Isn’t wonderful? JADRIEN Yes... but what are they? HEMI You don’t know? JADRIEN No- I- They look like bits of shiny wood. HEMI Wood?! They’re chocolate! Shoklaate? JADRIEN HEMI No, choc-o-late. Chocolate! JADRIEN I have never heard of such a thing... HEMI Then you don’t know what you’re missing! Look, try some! HEMI plucks a bar of Twix out of the air and hands it to JADRIEN. Try some. HEMI JADRIEN begins to bite down on the wrapper. HEMI No! Wait, first you have to take the wrapping off!
JADRIEN Wrapping... HEMI tears the wrapping off and exposes the bar of chocolate inside. JADRIEN stares at it. Oh. JADRIEN HEMI Go on, try it. JADRIEN takes a bite and chews slowly. Gradually, her eyes lighten up and her chewing quickens. JADRIEN (Between mouthfuls) It tastes weird. HEMI But a good weird right? JADRIEN It’s so sweet- and chewy.
