14. Develop and implement an effective Media<br />

Relations Plan: This program is also being rolled<br />

into the revised Marketing Committee that will get<br />

underway in 2012.<br />

15. Perform regular surveys: The Association has<br />

been using the <strong>website</strong> to gain some member<br />

input on specific topics. We will be conducting a<br />

membership-wide survey in 2012, similar to the one<br />

done in 2010;<br />

16. Experience no more than 10% staff attrition (1<br />

person): Joy Van Marck, our Member Relations<br />

Manager and Karen Morris, our Executive Assistant,<br />

left the Association this summer. Shelly Portmann<br />

completed her maternity contract with us, and<br />

Kimberley Banford rejoined the staff as Programs<br />

and Services Manager. Ronelo Aromin came on<br />

board as our new Member Relations Manager.<br />

It has been a busy year and the <strong>CHBA</strong>-ER continues to<br />

grow and improve. 2012 will be devoted to getting our<br />

fiscal house in order, while at the same time polishing<br />

those programs and services that you, the membership,<br />

support.<br />

I would like to thank the Board of Directors for their<br />

continued support of my efforts, my staff for their<br />

commitment and dedication to both the Association<br />

and the ambitious plan we have embarked upon, and,<br />

especially, our volunteers, without whom none of this<br />

would have been possible.<br />
