24 Region’s Annual Golf Tournament, in support of the Edmonton Region Home Builders Charity Funds, ERHC. Every year in April, the committee meets to decide on gifts for golfers, registration fees, sponsorship fees, etc. The committee also assists with: • Registration and Sign-In • Prize Bag Distribution • Mulligan Sales • Sign Setup • Emceeing the Dinner Event • Distributing Prizes This year’s tournament was held on June 10th, 2011 at The Ranch Golf Course in Acheson, Alberta, andincluded 144 golfers. $10,000 was raised in support of the ERHC. Shane McLaughlin Gienow Windows & Doors 1.1.3.2 Curling Committee The Curling Committee organizes, books ice time, and runs curling nights starting in October of every year. With the assistance of the Programs & Services Manager, budget is determined and teams are registered. After the curling season, there is a wrap up party to discuss ideas for next year. Committee Members: Curling Committee Chair Brent Rudko, Stantec Consulting 1.1.3.3 Slo-Pitch Committee The Slo-Pitch Committee organizes and runs a two day tournament every summer. With assistance from the Programs & Services Manager, budget is determined, teams are signed up, prizes are collected, and rosters, information packages, team bags, and MVP prizes are organized. After the event there is a wrap-up meeting to discuss ideas for the next year. This year’s tournament was held on August 20 th and 21 st, 2011 at the Centennial Park Diamonds in Sherwood Park. The tournament was made up of 16 teams, with 15 players per team. This year’s tournament winners were: “A Event” Accent Heating Service Experts “B Event” Igloo Building Supplies

Todd Fraser You Junk It...I Dump It Trista Shewfelt Dolce Vita Homes LP 4.2 Conferences & Shows 4.2.1 Residential Construction Industry Conference The Canadian Home Builders’ Association- Edmonton Region was proud to host the first ever Residential Construction Industry Conference, RCIC 2011, on April 26 & 27 th, 2011 at the Edmonton Expo Centre. This two-day event was a year in the making, with planning done by dozens of CHBA-ER volunteers who worked tirelessly to make the conference a success. The conference boasted nearly 600 delegates, 95 education sessions covering 8 categories, 2 keynote speakers, a host of networking events, and a sold-out industry trade show. For two full days, delegates were busy attending talks, visiting the trade show floor, and networking with industry colleagues. With over 65 presenters in all, delegates had an eclectic variety of topics to choose from. Session categories included: • Construction Practices • Environmental & Sustainable Practices • Business Strategies & Leadership • Sales & Marketing • Colors Trends & Design • Land & Neighbourhood Design • Production & Operations • Safety • Special Interests Delegates included: • Site Managers • Business Owners • Estimators • Executive Managers • Sales Professionals • Safety Personnel • Interior Designers • Land Developers • Project Managers • Drafting Technicians • Marketing and Product Developers • Architects • Warranty and Service Staff • Trades Foreman • Administrative Staff Overall, RCIC 2011 generated quite a buzz!
