INTRODUCTION 


Amadeus Master Pricer Expert, a high performance and flexible lowest fare 

search tool with real-time availability provides up to 50 lowest fare 

recommendations with their corresponding itineraries. 

Amadeus Master Pricer Expert (FXD) is a shopping solution which provides you 

with the cheapest recommendations for your query. You can use Master Pricer 

Expert with or without an active PNR to search for available fares. The system 

returns alternative recommendations that you can use to either create a new 

booking or to replace the existing itinerary. 

Master Pricer Expert processes public fares, as well as corporate and noncorporate 

Unifares (Amadeus Negotiated Fares, Dynamic Discounted Fares, 

ATPCO Private Fares and ATPCO CAT35 Negotiated Fares) ensuring that all 

possible available fares for your agency are reflected in the recommendations. 

You can request up to six segments, including up to two surface segments, and 

you can enter options to describe the itinerary. The system prices using the 

default pricing options used at office level, such as the service fee manager 

price scheme, ticket type and default time window. You can include pricing 

options in your entry, and override default office pricing options. 

Note: If no FV element is present in the PNR before you enter a pricing entry 

and you do not select a validating carrier in your pricing entry, the validating 

carrier used for pricing will be automatically determined by the system.

MASTER PRICER EXPERT WITHOUT PNR 


Following are the examples for the Master Pricer Expert without PNR. 

SEARCH FOR RECOMMENDATIONS FOR TRAVEL TODAY 

For example: Travel starts from Doha (DOH) to London (LON) for today date. 

Enter: FXD DOHLON 

System Response: 

Note: System first searches the best available fare for current itinerary and 

than the cheapest available recommendation. 

The system displays the recommendations, which are sorted into groups of the 

same price and fare construction. 

The first recommendation of each group is displayed. You can scroll though the 

groups or select a group to display all recommendations in the group using the 

MD and MU scrolling entries. 



To display the recommendations in a group, enter: FXS 2 

FXS Transaction code 

2 Group Number 



To return to the original display of recommendations in groups, enter: MP FXD 





For example to book the recommendation number 2 from the displayed list 

without storing the TST, Enter: FXZ2 

FXZ Transaction code 

2 Recommendation number 2 


To redisplay the selected recommendation itinerary, enter: RT 





Insert the PNR mandatory elements to complete the reservation. 




NUMBER OF SEATS FOR TRAVEL TODAY 


To request more than one seat, enter the required number seats after FXD 

transaction code. Enter: FXD 4DOHLON

SPECIFIC DATE 


Specify the date for each segment using the /D option for each segment. 

For example: Travel Starts from Doha (DOH) to Karachi (KHI) on November 

05 and return from Karachi (KHI) to Doha (DOH) on November 18. 

Enter: FXD DOH/D05NOVKHI/D18NOVDOH

SPECIFIC DEPARTURE TIME 


You can specify a time of departure for each segment using the /TD option. 

For example: 

Departure time on or after 0800 from Doha (DOH) to London (LON) and 

Departure time on or after 1400 from London (LON) to Doha (DOH). 

Enter: FXD DOH/D15NOV/TD0800LON/D25NOV/TD1400DOH 




SPECIFIC ARRIVAL TIME 


You can specify a time of arrival for each segment using the /TA option. 

For example: 

Arrival Time on or before 1000 in Doha (DOH) and Arrival time on or before 

2000 in New York (JFK). 

Enter: FXD JFK/D15NOV/TA1000DOH/D29NOV/TA2000JFK 




SPECIFIC AIRLINE 


You can include or exclude up to nine airlines in your search request using the 

/A option at segment level or //A at itinerary level. 

SEGMENT LEVEL 

For example: To request airline LH for the first segment 

Entry: FXD DOH/D15NOV/ALHFRA/D25NOVDOH 





For Example: To request airlines QR or LH for the first segment 

Entry: FXD DOH/D15NOV/AQR, LHFRA/D25NOVDOH 




ITINERARY LEVEL 

For example: To request airline QR for the entire itinerary

For example: To request airline QR or LH for the entire itinerary:

MULTIPLE SEGMENTS 


You can enter up to six flight segments for search for recommendation. 

For example: Request a recommendation for three segments: from Doha 

(DOH) to Frankfurt (FRA), from Frankfurt (FRA) to Munich (MUC) and from 

Munich (MUC) to Doha (DOH. 

Entry: FXD DOH/D15NOVFRA/D20NOVMUC/D25NOVDOH 


Note: Only two flight segments can be on same date 



PRICE TO BEAT 


The //PB price to beat option allows you to enter a maximum price for a travel 

recommendation. The system searches for recommendations that are equal to 

or lower than to the price you have entered. The price applies to the number of 

seats in your entry, for the entire itinerary. 

For Example: To beat the available price QAR 1500 

Entry: FXD DOH/D05NOVKHI/D18NOVDOH//PB1500 




PASSENGER TYPE CODE 


By default, all passengers are adult passenger types. You specify the passenger 

type codes with the /R option at the end of your entry. 

For example: for Child (CH) passenger type code 

Entry: FXD DOH/D05NOVKHI/D18NOVDOH//RCH 


Note: You can specify up to three passenger type codes for one passenger, and 

up to six passenger type codes in the same entry. 




To specify different passenger type, use the //PAX qualifier to identify the 

number of adults. 

For Example: One Adult (PAX) and one Child (CH) Passenger 

Entry: FXD 2DOH/D15NOVCAI/D30NOVDOH//PAX/1/RCH 




SURFACE SEGMENT 


Your entry can include up to two surface segments in the search. 

For example: To request a recommendation from Doha (DOH) to Frankfurt 

(FRA), from Munich (MUC) to London (LON), and from Manchester (MAN) to 

Doha (DOH). 

Entry: FXD DOH/D15NOVFRA- - MUC/D20NOVLON - - MAN/D29NOVDOH 




FLIGHT CATEGORY 


You can request a flight category using the /F option at segment level or //F at 

itinerary level. 

You can request the following flight categories: 

/FN Non-stop flights 

/FD Direct flights 

/FC Connecting flights 

/FN, D Non-stop and direct flights 

SEGMENT LEVEL 

To request non-stop flights for the first segment

To request non-stop flights for the entire itinerary

CONNECTING POINT 


You can request or exclude up to two connecting points, using the /X option, at 

segment level. 

REQUEST CONNECTING POINT 

For example: To request flights from Doha (DOH) to London (LON) via Dubai 

(DXB) and return London (LON) to Doha (DOH) via Dubai (DXB). 

Entry: FXD DOH/D15NOV/XDXBLON/D25NOV/XDXBDOH 





For example: To request the flights from Doha (DOH) to San Francisco (SFO) 

via London (LON) or New York (NYC).

EXCLUDE CONNECTING POINT 


For example: To request flights from London (LON) to Cebu (CEB) that 

excludes a connecting point in Manila (MNL). 

Entry: FXD LON/D15NOV/X-MNLCEB 




CABIN 

The //K cabin option applies to the entire itinerary only. 

You can request the following types of cabin, following //K: 

F First 

C Business 

Y Economy 

W Premium economy 

M Standard economy 

MANDATORY CABIN 

For example: Request flights in Business Cabin 

Entry: FXD DOH/D15NOVKHI/D25NOV//KC 





RECOMMENDED CABIN 


If no solutions exist fully for the cabin you requested, other cabins are shown, 

and at least one segment will be in the cabin in your entry. Enter, + after the 

Cabin code. 

Entry: FXD DOH/D15NOVDXB/D18NOVDOH//KC, + 




MAJOR CABIN 


At least 60 per cent of the elapsed flying time will be in the cabin in your entry. 

Enter,* after the cabin code.

VALIDATING CARRIER 


The validating carrier option allows you to include or exclude specific airlines in 

the ticketablity check to determine the validating carrier. 

INCLUDE VALIDATING CARRIER

INCLUDE A VALIDATING CARRIER AND PERFORM BSP CHECKS

SERVICE FEE 


If your office uses default Amadeus service fee, you can use the //PS option to 

override the default price scheme defined for your office. The price scheme 

override option applies at itinerary level.

To select the recommendation number 1, enter: FXZ1 



Note: The required Service Fee Amount incorporates in the pricing. 



MASTER PRICER EXPERT WITH PNR 


Following are the example for Master Pricer expert with an active PNR 

For Example: The PNR booked for Doha (DOH) to London (LON) in B-class for 

November 04 and London (LON) to Doha (DOH) in B-class for November 14. 

To search for recommendation as per booked dates and destination, enter: FXD 


Note: System first searches the best available fare for current PNR and than the 

cheapest available recommendation for booked itinerary. 



ALTERNATE DATE 


The //D option allows you to price current PNR later or before specified dates 

of current itinerary. 

For Example: The PNR was booked for Doha (DOH) to London (LON) in Kclass 

for November 04 and London (LON) to Doha (DOH) in K-class for 

November 14. 

To search the recommendation after 5 days as per current PNR dates, 

Enter: FXD//D5 





For Example: The PNR was booked Doha (DOH) to London (LON) on 

November 15 and London (LON) to Doha (DOH) on November 25. 

To search the recommendation for 7 days before as per current PNR, 

Enter: FXD//D-7 




SEGMENT SELECTION 


The /S option allows you to price current PNR with required segments in the 

itinerary at itinerary level. 

For example: To search for recommendation for segment 2 , 3 and 6 in the PNR, 

Enter: FXD/S2-3 



BEAT THE PRICE 


The //PB option allows you to beat the current PNR price at itinerary level. 

As per booked flights the available total fare is QAR 4820.00 




For example: To beat the price for required amount, enter: FXD//PB2900 




CABIN 


The //K cabin option allows you to search for recommendation for current PNR 

in required cabin. 

For Example the itinerary in the PNR booked for K-CLASS (Economy Cabin) 

To search for recommendation for Business Cabin, enter: FXD//KC 




ALTERNATE CARRIER 


The //AGF alternate carrier option allows searching for recommendation for 

specific airlines other than the booked in the PNR. 

For example the itinerary was booked on QR in M-Class: 

For example: To search for recommendation for EK and EY only,

For next page for recommendations, enter: MD 





SERVICE FEE 


If your office uses default Amadeus Service Fee, you can use the // PS option 

to override the default price scheme defined for your office. 

For example booked itinerary as: 

To display the price schemes for your office, enter: TFL 





For example: To use Price scheme reference (26603), enter: FXD//PS-26603 





For example to select the recommendation to rebook and create TST for current 

PNR, enter: FXU1 


To save the changes in the PNR, enter: RF ADMIN; ER 



VALIDATING CARRIER 


The //R,V-VS validating carrier option allows including specific airline in 

ticket ability check determines the validating carrier. 

For example the booked classes in the PNR did not compliance with price. 

To Price the Itinerary, enter: FXP 

The booked classes in the PNR didn’t compliance with price. 




For example: To search for recommendation with validating carrier option, 

Enter: FXD//R, V-VS 




CONNCTING POINT 


The //X option allows you to keep the connecting point same as booked in the 

PNR at itinerary level. 

To keep the transit point as DUBAI (DXB) in the itinerary and search for 

recommendation, enter: FXD//X 



AIRPORT CODES 


The //O option allows you to keep the Origin and Destination Airport codes 

point same as booked in the PNR at itinerary level. 

For example: To Keep the origin (DOH) and Destination London (LHR) airport 

codes for search for recommendation, enter: FXD//O 



NO RESTRICTION 


The //R,*NR option allows you to search for recommendation for no restriction 

price at itinerary level. 

For example: To search for recommendation for no restriction conditions price, 

enter: FXD/R,*NR

At Itinerary level (I), you can precede an option with single slash (/) or with a 

double slash (//). But you must precede the option with a double slash (//) at
