124 ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS WORKING GROUP The Public Education Master Facilities Plan Working Group informed and supported stakeholder groups involved in the development of a master facilities plan for public education in the District of Columbia. The Working Group provided the DC Deputy Mayor for Education (DME) with clear and sound advice on a tool to help decision makers and citizens of the District of Columbia allocate resources in an efficient and equitable manner to improve student outcomes. While the Working Group served in an advisory capacity, the DME sought specific advice from the group as to the criteria to apply when making strategic decisions about public education facilities.
