While this species has always been scarce in <strong>the</strong> County, it was known historically from<br />
several widely dispersed fens and wet grasslands. It has not been seen at most <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong>se<br />
historic sites since <strong>the</strong> 1970’s and may have been lost to drainage and agricultural<br />
improvement. The population at Woodwalton Fen is very large, with more sites than listed,<br />
and currently under no threat.<br />

Always restricted to a few sites on <strong>the</strong> calcareous boulder clays <strong>of</strong> central <strong>Huntingdonshire</strong>. It<br />
has declined over recent years and this decline is probably ongoing.<br />
