COLIN: To be honest I’m not that hungry.<br />
LEPORELLO: Oh well… all the more for us. Come on kids!<br />
KIDS CHEER AND RUSH OUT TO THE KITCHEN.<br />
LEPORELLO: (TO <strong>DON</strong> <strong>JUAN</strong>) A paradise for lovers, eh? It<br />
doesn’t look like there’s going to be much call for that<br />
round here.<br />
HE EXITS.<br />
<strong>DON</strong> <strong>JUAN</strong>: Where I come from a man tells his woman<br />
where she will be for the evening and she obeys.<br />
COLIN: I wouldn’t hold out much hope of that round here,<br />
mate. You’ll end up with a black eye.<br />
<strong>DON</strong> <strong>JUAN</strong>: Your lady, she does not like fine wine,<br />
delicious food, candle light, romance?<br />
COLIN: Yes, she does… but she’s got this job you see and<br />
most of the people she has to deal with work in the<br />
evenings. I just thought maybe this once she might be<br />
able to take the night off… she’s always complaining that I<br />
never do anything spur of the moment, or impulsive or…<br />
So I thought I’d try and “whisk her away”, as the<br />
expression is, but she just looked at me as if I was the<br />
same dull old Colin.<br />
<strong>DON</strong> <strong>JUAN</strong>: What did you say to her?<br />
COLIN: Oh, I don’t know. I can’t remember.<br />
<strong>DON</strong> <strong>JUAN</strong>: Did you tell her that your body had been<br />
yearning for her all day, that you longed to gaze deep into<br />
her beautiful eyes and revisit the ecstasy that only the<br />
