Females (n=1)<br />

o Cranial Orientation: This single female is found with a definitively<br />

northern cranial orientation.<br />

o Burial Position: This individual was found in an indeterminate burial<br />

position.<br />

o Burned/Unburned: One female interment exhibits evidence <strong>of</strong><br />

burning.<br />

o Pigmented/Unpigmented: No females exhibit accompaniment <strong>by</strong> or<br />

staining with red mineral pigments.<br />

o Cross Motif/No Cross Motif: <strong>The</strong>re are no vessels with a cross motif<br />

interred with females.<br />

o Material: NB Colha chert is the most quantifiably prevalent material<br />

class interred with females. Unidentifiable lithic material artifacts are<br />

the only other material class present in female interments; these<br />

goods make up the minority <strong>of</strong> the female funerary assemblage.<br />

o Form: NB Colha chert modified lithics are the most quantifiably<br />

prevalent artifact form in the female funerary assemblage, with a<br />

small minority <strong>of</strong> goods being represented <strong>by</strong> modified lithics<br />

manufactured from unidentifiable lithic material.<br />

o Space Function: All females are recovered from domestic contexts.<br />

o Artifact Function: Females are more only with practical burial<br />

furniture.<br />

o Head Cover/No Head Cover: No females are interred with a ceramic<br />

vessel covering their cranium.<br />

o Cranial Orientation: Equal numbers <strong>of</strong> indeterminate and northern<br />

cranial orientations appear in adult interments, with a large number<br />

also displaying possibly northern orientations.<br />
