There’s only a very small area that you can get, collect kai<strong>moana</strong>, pāua and kina and that part is at the
Tamure, Kahawai that’s a concern the overfishing with the commercial vessels coming in close. Because
that’s some of our traditional ground, mainly one of the areas Kai Tamure that’s the name of the urupā
for the whole area up, well Ngāti Kauaha there’s the launching area for one of the waka. Pākehā has
married into the hapū of Ngāti Kauaha and a whaler from 1830s that is, listed as a traditional area along
