I fl ew to Taiwan for the fi rst time with
Jetstar three years ago for a holiday
and fell in love with the country
instantly. Recently, I booked a ticket
on Jetstar 3K721 to Taiwan once
again, for a much-needed break.
The Jetstar crew was great right
from the start — the check-in was
effi cient and they made sure I got
onboard the plane on time.
I stayed in the mountains where
few Singaporeans have visited. My
three nights there was a good break,
away from the hustle and bustle of
the city.
At the Wuling Farm, I managed to
catch the last of the cherry blossom
season. I would have loved to catch
the connecting fl ight to Osaka to get
a glimpse of the sakura, but I didn’t
have the luxury of time. Still, the sea
of pink, white and yellow of the plum,
pear and brassica blossoms left me
in awe.
The weather that March was
much colder than in previous years
because of an unusual continental
cold air mass moving into Taiwan. I
was in for a surprise when I arrived
in Hehuanshan. For the fourth time
in 13 years, it snowed in March! The
sight was amazing. I spent two hours
building a snowman; my fi ngers
turned red and numb.
I’m sure I’ll plan another trip to
Taiwan again on Jetstar!

I fl ew to Singapore from Phnom
Penh for a weekend and really
enjoyed spending time with my
dear friend whom I stayed with
during my visit. I have not seen
her for the past three years since
her graduation, so we had a lot
of catching up to do. We chatted
through the day and night, and
slept very little; I lost my voice
because of this!
Thanks to Jetstar for operating
this route, I could visit Singapore
and be with my dear friend. I loved
the city, its parks, the view from
the skyscrapers and of course the
cheap and tasty food. But what I
loved the most was being reunited
with my friend.
