SIDE TRIP: Rent a car and<br />
driver to go to Mount Bromo, an<br />
active volcano 2,300m above sea<br />
level. It’s a four-hour drive and if you<br />
depart at midnight, you’ll arrive in<br />
time to catch the sunrise. Take a fourwheel<br />
drive to the viewpoint Mount<br />
Penanjakan — and from here the<br />
best location to watch the sun rise is<br />
at the edge of Tengger Caldera.<br />
