husband Jay-Z. When it comes to this bootylicious babe,
there’s definitely a theme emerging. We take a look at
the potted history of her three new "babies"

In the movie
she’ll play a
rising starlet
who falls for an
alcoholic, hasbeen
rock star.
Almost three years
later, at the Video Music
Awards in August 2011,
she announces she’s five
months pregnant.
Beyoncé herself is modelling her career on La
Streisand: “Barbra Streisand, that's the career model
for me, I want to be like her,” the pop diva told the Los
Angeles Times. “She is just the ultimate.”
Beyoncé's not the only
person Barbra's inspired.
A creative director at
Gucci – and massive Babs
fan – gave Gucci Guilty its
name after listening to the
Streisand song of the same
name. And the inspiration
for the fragrance's ad? The
1976 movie poster for – you
guessed it – A Star Is Born!
The news is quickly tweeted
by millions of Twitter users,
breaking the record for “most
tweets per second recorded
for a single event”.
The unborn baby
even has its own
Twitter account!

The announcement means her collaboration with Clint Eastwood on
a new musical version of A Star Is Born will have to wait until after her
own little star is born (it’s due in February 2012). Oh, the irony!
The most recent
version of the film,
released in 1976,
starred Barbra
Streisand, who won
an Oscar for the theme
tune, Evergreen,
but the song was
actually more of a hit
than the movie!
Eastwood’s film will be the
fourth version of the story,
which was first made as a drama
in 1937, starring Janet Gaynor. It
was nominated for seven Oscars
and won an honorary Academy
Award for its use of Technicolor,
which was then in its infancy.
It truly became legendary when
it was remade as a musical in
1954, starring Judy Garland.
The film garnered six Oscar
nominations and is regularly
voted as one of the greatest
musicals of all time.
Speaking of perfume, in September 2011, Beyoncé launches Pulse. As well as creating
the fragrance – which is dedicated to her favourite flower, the orchid – she helped
design the bottle, which she says was inspired by her mother. Aw.
