In A Horse, his Name was Hunry Fencewaver Walkins, David Bed<strong>for</strong>d has <strong>the</strong><br />
guitarist per<strong>for</strong>m <strong>for</strong> a bit with a plectrum, or pick, as it is often referred to. Picks are<br />
usually made of plastic, although sometimes metal, and are generally triangular in shape.<br />
Picks are rarely used in classical guitar music, but quite common in o<strong>the</strong>r styles of guitar<br />
playing. A pick gives a brighter, thinner sound, compared to <strong>the</strong> use of <strong>the</strong> flesh and nail<br />
as in traditional classical guitar playing.<br />
