Analysis: Valentine Miss enjoyed a lovely run in transit. Smothered
away behind the leader, Valentine Miss was there to challenge but
took her time pushing through between horses before diving late
to get her nose in front. I’m A Hussy was soon on the lead and
set a steady tempo. Clear into the straight, she ran on well and
was only caught late on. Red Flair was a terrific effort. Trapped out
three deep for most of the trip, she kept coming in the straight to
be closing all the way. Solchow raced prominently as usual and
then stayed on one-paced in the straight. Irish Lights was slightly
worse than midfield at halfway. She was eased out into running
room in the straight and flattered briefly.
Analysis: Avenue was away sharply and quickly settled on the
lead. She was clear approaching the home turn and quickened
clear, galloping on strongly to win well. Amaethon settled in third
place and was being niggled along nearing the home turn, staying
on solidly in the straight. About Ready settled in second place
and then chased the whole way, trying gamely to the line, only
wilting in the final 100m. Okay Oky settled in fourth place, albeit
some five lengths off the lead. He chased hard all the way. Here
de Angels reared at the start and took no part.
