Aram Badalian picked up the
violin at the age of six, and went
on to study at the Tschaikowsky
Conservatory for Young and Exceptional
Talents.
After that, Badalian studied at
the Royal Music Conservatory in
Brussels, the Queen Elisabeth College
of Music, as well as the
Staatliche Hochschule für Musik
in Germany.
His tutors include Valery Oistrakh,
Igor Oistrakh, Liviu Prunaru,
Augustin Dumay, Tatiana
Samouil, as well as Albrecht Breu
n i n g e r.
Liselotte Vermote started taking
piano lessons at the age of seven,
and has since won several awards,
received two scholarships and
played at many concerts of
prestige.
As Badalian, Vermote also studied
at the Royal Music Conservatory
in Brussels, the Queen
Elisabeth College of Music, and
the Staatliche Hochschule für Musik.
Her tutors include Abdel Rahman
El Bacha, Boyan Vodenitcharov,
Piet Kuijken, Dmitri
Bashkirov, Daniel Blumenthal,
and Kaya Han, to name but a
f e w.

IF you dont know what to do over
the Easter weekend, remember its
Kiwi Festival time!!
The weekend’s activities will be as
follows:
Friday 10 April: Fancy Dress at
the Pot a Plow (Theme: Green).
Saturday 11 April: COOKING
COMPETITION: in Village Hall at
12h00 – 13h00, 10 entries, all
ingredients supplied. After
judging this will be open to the
public for tasting. (Entries closed)
Saturday 11 April – Monday 13:
Food Stalls in Haenertsburg Park
(Harvest Festival) fresh salads, veggies,
cheese, Boerewors rolls,
pancake & preserves.
Take a seat under shady trees
whilst enjoying tasty eats listenening
to local musicians. Children
can enjoy the small quad bikes,
jumping castle and paint ball supplied
by Thaba Metsi Adventures.
Fresh Kiwi fruit, preserves and
kiwi jams will be on sale at Tourism
Magoebaskloof Info and Reservation
Office.
Kiwi Tours on the farm “Kiwi
Land”. Turn off at the Clearwater
Cove Road. Tours will take place
at 10h00 and 14h00. Enjoy a light
meal and drinks served in the kiwi
orchard. Entry fee will be R10
p/p
The Sunset Queen House boat
will be docked at Highlands Guesthouse
(Kiwi Land farm) offering 1
Hour trips, Min 10 people at
R60-00pp. Dinner on the Sunset
Queen - departure 16h30 for
17h00.
Price: R150 p.p (2 course meal)
includes boat trip, children under
12 R75 Cash bar available on
boat. Boat departs from Smoky
Joe’s and will return at 20h00.

Lodge wat ‘n aansienlike bedrag bygedra het
tot voordeel van die inwoners van die tehuis vir
bejaardes.
Die bestuur van God’s Haven bedank alle
anonieme skenkers van vars groente en vrugte,
asook kontant bydraes. ‘n Baie spesiale dank
