Am<strong>on</strong>g <strong>women</strong> c<strong>on</strong>tinuing an active sex life, <strong>the</strong> proporti<strong>on</strong> <strong>of</strong> those with <strong>on</strong>ly <strong>on</strong>e partner increased<br />

(59.1%), while <strong>the</strong> proporti<strong>on</strong> <strong>of</strong> those with 2 or more partners decreased (18.2%). However, 3.8%<br />

<strong>of</strong> <strong>women</strong> reported having sex with 5 or more partners.<br />

5 It should be borne in mind that <strong>the</strong> period since HIV diagnosis was discovered was quite short (88.1% - under 1.5 years, 42.4% – under 10<br />

m<strong>on</strong>ths), and that for most <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> <strong>women</strong> this was also a period <strong>of</strong> pregnancy (87.4%), delivery and infant care.<br />
